パウメイラスが新たな宝石との契約延長を発表した。

24日、パウメイラスはU-17ブラジル代表FWエステヴァン(16)とのプロ契約を発表した。

契約期間は2026年までの3年間。国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)に認められている最長期間となる。

エステヴァンはクルゼイロのU-17から2021年5月にパウメイラスのU-17に加入。U-15、U-17のパウリスタ州選手権で王者となり、U-17コパ・ド・ブラジルの優勝にも貢献。左利きの右ウインガーで34試合で23ゴールを決めていた。

15歳ながらもU-20でのプレーが許可されると、そこでも違いを見せることに。24日に16歳の誕生日を迎え、パウメイラスが最初のプロ契約を結ぶこととなった。

エステヴァンはクラブを通じ「今日は僕の人生でとても特別な日です。いつもそばにいてくれたパウメイラス、代理人、そして家族に感謝します」とコメントしている。

パウメイラスにはU-17ブラジル代表FWエンドリック(16)が所属しており、類稀なる才能が大きな注目を集めることに。すでにレアル・マドリーへの移籍が決まっており、18歳になる2024年7月以降に入団することに。それまではパウメイラスでプレーする。

再び飛び抜けた才能と契約したパウメイラス。エンドリックとの共演もあるのかに注目だ。

柏が関心寄せた元ブラジル代表MFルーカス・リマは古巣サントスに加入
